Hello!
A little bit about me and this journal:
Who?
I started properly in fandom on livejournal around 2006. Before that I had been fannish about things but hadn't been involved online. When all my fandoms moved from livejournal to tumblr way-back-when I went with them, but I never really got the sense of community there that there had been at LJ. I'm still there until the gifmakers move elsewhere.
I have an office job and live in the Big City with my cat.
What I post
A bit of everything that comes to mind. I generally post anything fannish publicly, but anything too personal or identifying under a lock.
I make fanart and (sometimes) write fic - everything goes on AO3 and art also goes on tumblr.
Fandoms
I'm a fandom monogamist generally, so at the moment I'm all The Untamed, all the time.
I do sometimes dip my toes into other fandoms when they take my fancy, and I'm happy to chat about lots of stuff.
Former fandoms include Good Omens (book first, then show briefly), Dragon Age (mainly adoribull; fannishness for this is dormant but not dead), X-Men movieverse, and The Musketeers (the BBC show - for my sins).
I also play D&D and DM a homebrew campaign, and love Critical Role (but usually many episodes behind, so spoilers will not be welcomed!).
I don't have any kind of friending policy, I'm really just looking to connect with people! No obligation to friend/subscribe back, and I'm also happy to chat in public posts even if we're not subscribed to each other's journals.

Our fandom history is very similar. XD I started on LJ in 2005 I think because of PotC, then spent some great years there until the site went downhill and everyone moved to tumblr. I lurked around there for a long time and only started being really active in 2020 when I became aware of The Untamed. Now I've lost my heart to that fandom. (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)
I want to revive my DW because I like this kind of social media much better for discussions and, you know, actually being social. XD
I also post anything for fandom, movies etc openly, and more private posts are locked until I feel I know someone better (which doesn't mean I need to know every private detail XD, just that I get a useful impression of someone like, "They're genuine and won't come at me with harrassment if they don't like a post".)
Feel free to friend back, I'd also love to make more new friends over here! :D

Ah yes, tumblr is so very good at keeping long deleted blogs alive. XD
DW is definitely more time consuming, I've noticed that already. ^_^; But it's also quite fun and it feels like the feeback is more interesting, what with actual conversation happening (like in the Readalong post on the comm, that's great!). (❁´◡`❁)

Hi, and thank you! I'm so happy and flattered that I was recced, it's always a nice surprise.
drawesome looks great! I have been meaning to be more active on DW and this seems a good way of doing it :D

I deleted my twitter accounts a few months ago and it seems you can't view any tweets without one these days, so I can't even rubberneck the chaos, but I imagine it's only become worse :( It's a different set of muscles using dreamwidth I've found, but I think it's worth the effort!
